I have a few sketches straight from my scanner. Didn't work them on photoshop this time.
Let me begin with this quick Captain America design.
I felt compelled to try my hand at a Captain America wearing some sort of heavy-ish, tech-esque armor. Nothing too busy, though.
Next is my original character design, Karate Man.
His real name is as yet TBD, but here's a rundown of the idea behind him: A character who will use authentic karate moves to beat up bad guys. He's not exactly a vigilante, but he's constantly around some shady characters who deserve a beating. The concept of the plot might involve gangs, mafia and whatnot and plenty of martial arts. Most of his antagonists will also be martial artists. Think of it as a Martial Arts manga type thing.
His arms: indestructible.
Only the arms, however. Bullets and blades will bounce off of his arms, but not the rest of his body, so he better stay on his toes.
With those indestructible arms he can deflect anything that comes his way using the authentic karate block moves. I envision this in a video game setting where the sound effect for the successful parry will be extremely satisfying.
At first, I'm not considering any sort of super strength, but since his arms are indestructible and "unhurtable", he can punch and karate chop anything with any amount of power he wants without worrying about the side effects.
One of his main antagonists: a man who fights Muay Thai (a Muay Thai Man if you will, but he doesn't go around being called like that).
Finishing move: a flurry of Seiken (正拳) punches (something so overwhelming you could almost hear the character yelling "ora ora ora ora" as he punches, but he won't do it)
(I think.)
