A few sketches

It is no secret that sketching is a habit of artists in general. You don't usually go straight to the finished piece without first creating a sketch, the seed, an inkling of some idea. I wonder if other artists have a huge amount of sketches, maybe even more than finished pieces. Something that, to me, would make sense. After all, a finished artwork would take longer, whereas the sketch takes you a few minutes or even seconds, but it is something valuable to get an idea out of your mind and transfer it to the paper or canvas, even if a digital one. I sometimes feel the urge to draw something, I got the bug, but don't feel like spending a few hours finishing a piece. Sometimes I just want to exercise my "drawing muscles", just want to do it. Freely. So I'm glad sketching is an option. Well, without further ado, here are some recent ones. Exercising some difference faces. Both in style and shape. I like most of them, but dang it, the short-haired girl on the bottom...

Fighting Ace Character Concept - Ace

Ace - The Fighting Man

I had an idea for a character called "Karate Man", but now I changed him to Ace, The Fighting Man. The naming convention is like that of a vigilante super hero. He's more of an all-round fighter. Not just simply using karate moves, but kickboxing and many others he knows (such as kung fu and jeet kune do). My idea is to have this character punching and kicking the heck out of bad guys. He's got a little bit of super strength, but one of his greatest traits are his indestructible arms and legs. Bullets will bounce off of Ace's arms AND legs. ; - ) Ace deflecting some bullets with his indestructible arm.
